  • We currently offer Urban Pup Preparatory, Stay and Train, Private sessions ( Limited spots)

  • We use all quadrants of operant conditioning. But we mainly use positive reinforcement!

    In operant conditioning reinforcement increases the likelihood of the behavior occurring, whereas punishment decreases the likelihood of the behavior occurring.

  • Sessions run about 60 minutes. It ultimately depends on your specific training goals. Most dogs see progress between 3-6 sessions, though every pup is unique .

  • Depending on the service!
    For Urban Pup Prep / Stay & Train, I train right here at home in my Dog - Training Cottage!
    For privates we can do them here at “ The Dog Cottage " or come to you- whether that’s your home, apartment, a local park, or a pet store/ mall. It all depends on your specific training goals.

  • Bring a treat pouch with lots of treats (something your dog loves!) regular collar/ harness and a regular 6ft leash. We will handle the rest!

  • We guarantee clear, measurable progress when clients commit to our recommended plan and practice exercises between sessions.

  • Yes and no.
    As per the ADA there is no specific certification that you can get that “certifies” your dog as a service animal.

    Per the ADA a service animal is recognized through their individual training to help aid the handler with their specific disability.
    Luckily that is what we offer!

  • We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule. Late cancellations will deduct a credit. ( A day in the package)

  • The simple answer is no.
    We start conditioning the collar at the lowest setting your dog can feel. We do this to help create a more positive impact when using the collar.
    Remember an E-collar is simply a tool. (Harnesses, leashes or collar’s are all types of tools)

  • For our in facility programs

    Our earliest drop off time is at 7am.
    Our latest pick up time is at 7pm.

    We understand Miami traffic and long commutes so we try to accommodate for everyone!

  • As a pet parent myself owning two small breeds I totally understand the concern!
    We match the dogs for playtime based off of temperament and socialization skills !

    We won’t pair a crazy 75Ib dog with a shy 15Ib dog.

  • Yes!
    - I am a certified trainer through “Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT)

    - I also am certified in pet first aid through Pet Emergency Education.
